We’re part of Sumitomo Forestry Australia, one of the largest home builders in Australia.

Our global parent company, Sumitomo Forestry, is a Japanese company that commenced over 300 years ago and has perfected the practice of growing, managing and harvesting renewable softwood timbers.

From the moment a seedling is planted to the moment you settle on your new home, Sumitomo Foresty Australia is actively working to develop the whole timber supply chain.

Corporate history

As part of the Sumitomo Forestry Group, Sumitomo Forestry Australia Pty Ltd. is headquartered in Melbourne and is involved in housing, property development and landscaping business across Australia.

Since launching our Australian housing business in 2008, we have steadily grown to become the largest builder group in Australia. This builder group includes Metricon Homes, Henley Properties Group in Victoria, Wisdom Properties Group in NSW, Plantation Homes in Queensland, and Scott Park Group in Western Australia. Regal Innovations also recently joined the group to focus on the landscaping business in Australia.

At Sumitomo Forestry, we pride ourselves with building a collaborative environment that respects nature, cultural heritage, neighbours, farmers, local businesses and the community.

Our local team has direct involvement with our projects and consistently respond in a safe, respectful, ethical and fair manner.

We work with the local community to manage our plantation project, respecting important values and providing business opportunities for the community to thrive. As local managers, we are available to respond to any questions, issues or concerns relating to our plantation projects.
